Operating today as a manufacturer and distributor of aluminium extrusions, Wispeco is one of the on-going success stories in the South African building industry. During the last decade, Wispeco has embarked on a refocusing exercise, transforming itself from a diversified multi-faceted operation into a focused aluminium organisation. Today the company consists of four main operating units – Aluminium extrusions, Die manufacturing, Finishing and Aluminium systems. The company dominates the Gauteng region, producing high quality extrusions in both anodised and powder coated finishes.Wispeco is managed by highly competent customer-oriented teams whose primary aim is to provide customers with the quality and service that has seen Wispeco become one of the country’s leading aluminium suppliers. Wispeco manufactures a wide variety of extrusion products : Architectural applications such as shopfront systems, windows and doors, curtain walling and panels, skylights and louvres. Interior applications include strip ceilings, curtain tracks, office partitioning, skirting, shower cubicles, carpet accessories and blinds. Specialised products for the transport industry, electrical bus bars, ladders, scaffolding, irrigation equipment, sport and camping. General engineering profiles are also available. The company currently has six aluminium extrusion presses. Wispeco is justifiably proud of the extent to which it has grown its anodising processes at Alrode and in Cape Town. All anodising meets SABS 999 and SABS 1407 standards and a variety of colours and coating thicknesses are available - another reason for the company’s reputation of excellence in the market place.
